How do you tell what size tires to get for you bicycle? - bicycle storage shed

I have a bike that was in stock and needs new tires or at least the pipes. Nobody seems to know how to measure it.

it is about more than just measuring the size of the wheel, we must also measure the diameter of the tire itself. The good news is that I should say at the edge. For example, you might say, 26x1.95, when a mountain bike, or if your a 700x25c road bike. It is usually stamped on the tire. The first number is the size of the wheel, the second is the diameter of the tire. Most people buy the same tire size, but can vary in location, diameter of a few.

In fact, it could unless stored the bike for a very long time, can only buy tubes.

Under the assumption that the tire was still on the bike, the size will be affixed to the sidewall.

I think you only measure the diameter of the rim to rim. This should be the size. In general, the tires of age have written about them, but otherwise it should work. Good luck.
